INSPIRATION, MOTIVATION, & REFLECTION FROM YUME MIKE (Michael Peterson)

The picture above is me during my first trip to Tokyo. While growing up I always had an affinity for Japanese culture, dreaming of getting on a plane and going there. My father urged me to learn a second language, but being the rebellious teenager I was, I never really listened. Even then I had an undying urge to be better, but all I did was dream about what I could do. And though vivid and extraordinary, those dreams did not take manifestation until I put in a little bit of work. What I found funny was that even in my mediocrity I was able to achieve things far beyond what I had dreamed, but I still was a dreamer. I say this to illustrate that I had not committed my being to actualizing any of the things that I thought about. Sure, I put in some work, but I did not thrust my very soul into the actualization of those dreams.

This picture represents more than just a trip to Japan/ It represents the moment when I was on the plane and realized that by committing my everything to achieving the dream to not just go to Japan, but to leave a mark behind when I left to give me a reason to always return, I had truly begin to dream.

So I say this to say that dreaming is just the beginning, initiating those dreams takes you a little further, but committing to those dreams will help you actualize them and turn them into reality. Dream in real time, Live YUME Become TIMELESS
