Michael Peterson aka YUME Mike founded The YUME Group in 2005. With a vast array of experience under his belt from previous ventures, he set out to try his best to incorporate his passions into a company that helps others progress through Music, Art, and Fashion while impacting his community positively.
Over the past 10 years, He’s worked closely with some of the most impactful not for profit organizations, greatest upstarts, Fortune 500 Companies, top 50 colleges and universities and personal brands across the globe on creating viable experiences that leave lasting impressions on its participants.
Juggling running a small business as well as working for some of today’s largest for profit and not for profit organizations shows Michael’s versatility and yearning for knowledge and experiences. He is committed to creating the perfectly rounded life of working within the machine while changing it, as well as simultaneously achieving his dream of creating a viable legacy for his family and friends to remember him by. Michael hopes to utilize the vast array of influencers and brands he works with to make viable change in the global community in need. From youth communities in inner cities around the world to third world countries, Michael hopes to make a change in people’s lives around the world.

My name is Michael Peterson (aka YUME Mike), and I write, promote, and live becoming timeless.
- I am a blogger. The site, yumemike.com, is a a mix of my views on life and attaining goals and anecdotal stories of how I am trying to Live, YUME, and Become TIMELESS.
- I am an event organizer. I believe that social interaction is extremely important. It is detrimental to our existence to have companionship, comradery, and a support system to help us further ourselves in life. I create experiences for like minded individuals to interact with one another.
- I am a youth educator. I have dedicated my life to the career of enriching youth through educational and recreational programming.
- I am a Presenter. I speak at conferences, unconferences, and to anyone who will listen.
- I am a DJ. I have had the joy of DJing across NYC, TOKYO, and LONDON.
- I am a lyricist. I have always loved music and have performed across NYC, TOKYO, and LONDON spreading good lyricism through poetry as lead lyricist for THE YUME EXPERIMENT, a band based out of NYC.

What do I do?
Besides my day job developing today’s youth and running a boutique experiential marketing and lifestyle content development firm, I consult brands, affluent individuals, prominent personal brands, and multinational corporate entities on integrating corporate social responsibility organically into their individual cultures. I take a brand approach and believe that best-in-class companies/individuals must integrate Organic Social Responsibility Campaigns into their cultures, products, experiences and communications.
I posses a vast array of experience working on the full-spectrum of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and cause-related issues, including youth advocacy, youth development strategies, older teen/adult community programmatic structuring, organic community involvement, governance, transparency, among other CSR strategy disciplines.
